I know we’re better than Luton, the first half v Fulham showed that
Luton fans might draw the same inference from their home game against Arsenal, where they absolutely dominated them.

I've stated several times that I think Luton are crap. Nevertheless, I think we might need more than one half of football to prove it.

My comments about Luton being awful are in response to the hysteria that they are definitely going to get 10 or 12 points from 4 games. They aren’t. They’ll get 4 or 5, 7 absolute tops if the wind blows in the right direction.

We are also awful and don’t look like winning a game of football so we’re in massive trouble and have every chance of going down, anyone who thinks otherwise is deluded. However, we ARE miles better than Luton in real terms without PSR and the PGMOL, like 13 points or more better. Sadly that matters not at this point because we are where we are. It’s on the players to show how much better they really are than Luton over the next 4 games, and it’s totally legitimate to question whether they have the courage, confidence and quality to do it. I hope they do, but I’m not convinced now.

But Luton are still awful.
It wasn't directly related to your post there have been alot of these posts for weeks now survive this weekend as we are and ill be alot more confident but if we finish this weekend 2 points adrift of them with 3 to play I fear our mentally and juat can't see us overcoming it.
I agree we should have the quality to get it done unfortunately that's not manifested itself consistently all season

That said, I’m not convinced that EM either has much sway over Marco Silva or whether such exhortations are really needed.

Probably zero.

Better angle to look at it is who do Fulham want in the PL next season, Forest or Luton?

Fulham are one of those teams who have done well for a couple of years but could easily be in a relegation battle the following year, like a Palace or Brentford. It's probably in their interest to relegate Forest as Forest would be a stronger outfit than Luton next year. Given it's last game of the season and they don't want to pick up any injuries then the scene is set for a very meek Fulham performance.

Unless it's a job offer. I'm not sure what the personal reasons Silva left Oly for were but he had a good record, just like he does at Fulham, and he didn't go straight to another job so they may well have been real personal reasons not a fallout. EM might like him quite a lot. Who knows.

"Hey Marco, why don't you sack off your Premier League job and London and come up to the bustling metropolis of Ruschliffe where you can manage a team that might be in the Championship next year but probably, maybe, possibly be challenging for promotion despite significant financial disarray and needing to cut costs to pay for the excesses accumulated in the two prior years. Better yet, you get to work for me.

Marco? Are you still there?"

Maybe Marco craves chaos? It has to be pretty boring at Fulham after a while. If so Manchester United could do a lot worse if and when they bin off Ten Hag.

Have we honestly forgotten that Luton just got battered 1-5 at home by a team with nothing to play for who's star striker isn't playing for them anymore because he's leaving?

Luton. Are. Awful.

Talk of them getting 10 points from 4 games is absolutely laughable.

Everton are managed by pretty much the only manager in football who actually likes Forest, genuinely don't see Dyche letting them mail that game in, but Luton may still beat them because they're dreadful whether they beat us and Liverpool or not. West Ham are a different beast at home and will beat them. Fulham are actually a very good football team and will beat them as well. Wolves will be a lot healthier at the weekend and very likely win or at least draw. Luton aren't getting more than 4 or 5 points max folks, still entirely in Forest's hands if they just sort themselves out and show they actually want to stay in this league. Still think a win and a draw and we're fine. Or a win and two points back from our friends at the appeals commission. Up to the players.
So were safe then?

Thanks for clearing that up.

Maybe Marco wants to be the face of a shipping company in a completely unrelated contract that doubles or triples his Premier League salary and sees him get a nice beach holiday. Works for Pep.
But yeah, point taken. Although a Fulham win would do a lot to ensure Forest stay up and we have a nice badge. Well I love it anyway.

A remember people saying that Leeds were nailed on to beat an ‘on the beach’ Tottenham
side at home in the final game of last season.
Alas,it didn’t work out like that and Spurs cruised to a 4-1 victory.
There are no easy games.

Wolves have lost 4 in a row at home, were useless last night and have loads of injuries and nothing to play for. Sounds like an ideal place for Luton to win.
I think this is lost on some people.

We'll get 2 points maximum from the remaining games, given the fact we just roll over for the poorer sides I can see draws at best from Sheff Utd and Burnley. A win and a draw for Luton is not impossible looking at their fixtures.

If I were them, I'd prefer to have Forest around. We won't be any stronger next season and we'll likely get ourselves another points deduction that Luton won't.

Aren't we more like Leeds this season? Luton are more like us last season and as we all know, we stayed up.

Possibly-but my point was that there are no easy games.
Some on here expected Brentford not to be interested at Luton last Saturday but they still romped to a 5-1 victory,

Damn, I didn't realize their home form was that bad.

Only 1 win in the last 8 too. :( (Bizarrely, we're the only Prem side in that run who Wolves have put more than 1 goal past lol.)

Let's hope that two 5-1 tonkings have knocked the stuffing out of Luton though, and that Wolves re-find their feet.

No, I don’t think suggesting other teams might try to win their matches is a form of corruption.

That said, I’m not convinced that EM either has much sway over Marco Silva or whether such exhortations are really needed.
I agree. Obviously the other way around is corruption but Marinakis could well be giving them further financial incentive to win.
