More pressure on Everton than us for this one.
really ? they are still 1 point ahead, and their next 3 games are at home, starting with forest. You can't really depend on liverpool or brentford to beat them as pool form has dropped off badly and brentford is also poor.

Or was that Conan? 🤔

Was it Kareem the dream?

I refuse to look it up 🤣

It was Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, and no, that isn’t Enter The Dragon, it’s Game Of Death.

You know we have only won under Nuno when Danilo starts?
Yes, but we had a similar stat for Yates last season and that came to an end. I just think Everton have a unique approach in the modern PL (i.e. play like Wimbledon in 1993) that would be best served with more combative midfielders early on until it opens up a bit.

But what do I know, I'm just a chump on the internetz 🤷‍♂️

I don’t remember Everton relying on the long ball and set pieces the last time we played them. I can only remember McNeil Garner and Doucoure running us ragged. But different times and circumstances now.
It was literally a long ball over the top from Pickford to that Leicester reject that scraped them an undeserved equalizer against us at Goodison last season

Enter The Dragon is frankly one of the greatest movies ever made, and that is a hill I will die on.
Probably my most watched film ever.

One of my best mates was obsessed by it, and we'd watch it over and over, pausing and rewinding all the fight scenes and quotes, severall times a week from between like 1991 and 1995 lol.

It's like a finger pointing away at the moon...

Why doesn't someone just puw owt a fordee fiyfe and....bang!!....settewiytt!

Man...you come right out of a comic book!

As I said....there's a point I won't go beyond....

etc. etc.

Incredible film

It really is superb, the fight choreography, the story, and the non-stop action, it’s brilliant entertainment and rightfully made Bruce Lee an international superstar.

Oh, and the incredible Lalo Schifrin soundtrack, with vocal overdubs from Bruce himself.

Tragically, he never lived to see its success, as he passed away shortly before it was released.

So, yeah, sod the football, we should go for a Bruce Lee movies marathon instead.

Probably be more entertaining.

Not sure what to make of this game.
On the one side they may have a height advantage from corners / free kicks but we have the football on the floor advantage.

They will want to get back to winning ways and feel this game is a good chance to do that in their minds.
We will want to take all 3 points home.

I expect a cagey start from both sides with us taking the lead through a good passing combination producing a cutback to Danilo who smashes it in from 20 yards.
At this point we simply own the pitch, MGW dominates the place, Murillo pushes forward into midfield and they don’t know how to deal with the sudden strength resulting in another goal from CHO curling one into the right hand corner from 18 yards out.

Then it happens.

Murillo picks up a loose ball in midfield and absolutely hammers a shot from 45 yards into the roof of the net making Pickford look awful and extremely angry….again.
Thats how it’s going to pan out guys and gals, just enjoy the ride :)

It's in their best interest to turn it into an ugly scrappy game, hope the referee isn't in one of those moods where they're free to kick lumps out of us but we're penalized any time we get close to them

They will be angry, but scared to death of losing. If you have seen the goals, Pickford pushed 3 shots back into play in bad areas, and they scored from them. We must shoot from anywhere and pick up the pieces, then again he can't have another bad day like that one, so we will have to settel for a 3-1 win!

We'll probably need to score at least 4 to win - as we'll concede at least 3 from set-pieces.

I’m looking forward to it, these are really bad even by the standards of a side at the bottom, two wins since early December for them I believe.

If Luton are to somehow stay up it’ll be at Everton’s expense.

I have to agree with those who've said the first goal will be decisive. If they score first (from a corner obviously), they dig in, get the crowd behind them, kick us off the park and shithouse their way to a win while we huff and puff and complain about the ref. If we score first, their very fragile confidence implodes, the crowd get on their backs and we have some fun exploiting their very dodgy defence (especially if the excellent Branthwaite is out). Keep it cagey for the first 20 minutes then go for the killer goal.
