Can't Play Left-Back
A few years ago a section of our fanbase were moaning about the 40th year anniversary celebrations of the miracle men that we've got to stop bleating on about our past etc. This is why. Because these heroes aren't going to be around forever. Larry Lloyd was way before my time but I remember listening to him as a kid co-commentate on Gem FM/Century and even as a kid you were struck by the man's personality. RIP Larry

RIP Larry

The success was before my time but my old man used to talk non stop about him and rest of the European cup winners and i've read/seen so much about them so they feel more than just former players to me. 👌

Try A Little Tenderness
He obviously had a significant and controversial input in later off-field events at NFFC, but that is for another day as he deserves enormous credit for his role in our rise from Division 2 obscurity to become twice Champions of Europe, something I was hugely privileged to witness, and for which I hope he is rightly acknowledged by the club on Saturday. RIP.

Oh no.

I spent an evening in his company last July, and he was as engaging and entertaining as ever.

Rest in peace, Larry. You were an absolute beast, and we loved you for that.

Keegan: „Hey Larry, you‘re not going to kick me, are you?“

Larry: „Oh no, Kev. But my mate Burnsy is going to absolutely muller you!“

Just heard on LBC that Larry Lloyd has died aged 75.

Sad news.

Legendary for his and Burns's intimidation of Keegan in the 1980 European Cup Final alone.
