I've a genuine question for you Ash. Given your clear anger towards EM and his stewardship of NFFC, and given that history and experience indicates he's unlikely to change his methods, would you be happier if he decided to put the club up for sale?
As I said earlier,Otis-my biggest fear in that scenario is that we ended up with someone worse.
I couldn’t envisage a situation of seeing a queue of suitable buyers on Trent Bridge (especially
if we drop).
Let’s face it-the only people who really care about Nottingham Forest (a medium sized provincial football club) are its supporters.

Not at all, I'm just having an objective view of what has happened to this club over the years. Literally witnessing the best 2 years over the past 25 odd years that most felt would never happen,
....when Marinakis walked away from the club and left it in the hands of someone else.

You're not making a convincing case for him here. This is literally championing him to walk away again 😆

I totally appreciate how disillusioned, disappointed and disgusted supporters are feeling in the aftermath of the season ticket price changes on top of our points deduction, poor management, poor performances and poor results.

I even understand the need for fans to take a stand and express how they feel by way of a protest against the club.

What’s important is how and when. Now is not the time.

I fear any kind of protest right now will harm us, the fanbase, most of all. We’re fighting for survival. We need the best support we can give.

I agree with the sentiment but the timing is wrong.

Don’t do it for the club…..get the message right and do it for the fans.
I think it depends how you look at it.

Because the club is somewhat staring down the barrel of relegation and the club is going to need us to not just assist the club with vocal support but spend the summer renewing memberships and buying all the new merchandise they'll be shovelling out and going to the stadium tours and all this.

We unfortunately don't have much leverage to force a change, but we have a lot more while this window is still open. This will 100% kick off again when they announce the membership prices and I seem to remember last year, they had people renew the memberships BEFORE announcing what the match ticket prices would be, which was a ***** move.

On the flip side to all this, if the club comes out in the next week or so and says "look we've dropped a bollock with the prices, we're really sorry and we need your support for the remainder of this season and next, we've reviewed our prices and we're going to make them a more modest increase instead." then it pours cold water on this whole thing. Making mistakes is human, but ignoring the upset or making passive aggressive threats is more detrimental to the situation than not displaying flags or singing Mull of Kintyre out of protest.

I also think as long as the players know full well, they have our support and our feelings aren't directed at them, it doesn't make f*** all difference to our relegation battle. Ideally, we'd have the spirit of last season's run-in but they've already f**ked that up pricing some of those fans out, sacking a manager we were already behind and all the rest of the debacle.

Support the team, but not the ownership.

No, I'd do that myself. There are things I can't do with regards to the club though.
So we dont have a perfect owner, like 95% of other clubs.....

Is everything perfect at Wolves? Crystal Palace dont have comfy seats and the catering is shit too. What about Leeds, they've spent a few season up here, all perfect?

Whilst i do have my issues with certain aspects of the club, I dont think its difficult to comprehend that getting everything right in such a short space of time is practically impossible to be honest.

Carlos's idea of a pie cannon is about the only thing that's made me chuckle this last 36 hours, so thank you for that! :ROFLMAO:

How much are season tickets at magical Brighton even?

Who could easily finish in the bottom half by the way. And have increased prices by about 8% despite making a fat profit on players.

I’d prefer Jim Willmer and the early 70s committee.
Unfortunately that is a bygone era.

We literally lucked out massively after Fawaz to get Marinakis and if some of you can not see it then I guess you are the ones who are never going to be happy. Probably found something to complain about even after winning the Euro cup.

Lets just remind ourselves of the seasons under ND when we didn't sign players.
Transfer Embargo
League 1
The Fawaz years where we signed players left, right and centre but got nothing else right

For us to end up with Marinakis is unbelievable after all of that and people going on like he is some destructive force need to take a step back!

Be careful what you wish for because we could end up back in league in no short time

I was being facetious about Willmer and the useless committee of the early 70s.
I agree the chances of getting someone significantly better than EM are slim.

I’ve never asked for him to be perfect, but the improvements I’d like to see are not unreasonable.
That’s my AMBITION.
Are they not unreaaonable because you want them, or not unreasonable because its not your money?

If youre talking about catering then I'll back you 100% mate!

What issues you thinking though?

Luton are loving all this.
They probably don't give two hoots, and if they did, they'd simply be finding it funny that an owner who sacked such a popular manager for next to no gain, then got himself a 4 point penalty, is getting shit thrown at him.

I'd guess they are less than ours, no idea though.

I struggle to understand a bit because I was paying £500 in A block when we were in League 1, 20 years ago. My new renewal if I decide to is £700.

Ive certainly eaten £200 worth of Wotsits on that time.
